Well, here I am in Boston. Day 2 and my feet hurt like none other. It's just because my feet aren't used to foot power versus car power. I made many trips back and forth across campus today for various meetings with the Summer School Dean, getting supplies, venturing to the grocery store, etc. I spent the afternoon with another NSCS staff member meeting over various program aspects and getting ready for the interns to arrive on Friday.
Wednesday night, my first night in town I decided to venture out around 6pm to find dinner and hopefully a grocery store or somewhere to buy some water, juice, and snacks at least. Well, I was one person going the WRONG way down a one-way sidewalk. In other words, I didn't realize quite how close I am living to the Red Sox and there was a game starting at 7pm so everyone was walking from the subway stop to the stadium. I finally made my way through the crowd and all the scalpers and found a nice place to have dinner on the patio and people watch. It wasn't too long before I called it a night due to the lack of sleep the night before.
Well, that's about all I have for now. Just wanted to touch base with everyone and let you know I've made it. Believe it or not, I haven't even had my camera out yet, thus, no pictures to post this time. Don't worry....there WILL be photos soon!!!!
Until next time....

Boston here I come!
Here we are mid-May....and I couldn't be happier to be spending my summer in Boston, MA working for NSCS and the Distinguished Scholars Program. This is the same program I went through as a participant last year in Washington, D.C.
NSCS has program in both Boston and D.C. As Program Coordinator I'll be organizing activities for the Scholars to participate in, helping Scholars with any issues that arise, and all around just having a great time in the city of Boston. Most of you who know me know how much I love to travel- and this is one area of the U.S. I've yet to get to and explore.
I'm excited to see some friends in the area that I haven't seen for quite some time. While there I will continue job hunting, both in the Michigan, Indiana, Ohio area as well as Boston area as long as I'm there and have the time.
It should be an exciting summer. I will try to update this site at least once a week as to my latest adventures! Please keep in touch!

P.S. I will be in Boston May 30 through July 29th...
