More walking....

I have come to the conclusion that walking is going to be my life this summer. Hopefully the big city will give me the inspiration I need. :) The three of us went to check out the routes to our internships today. Jenny attempted the walk across the bridge to Rossyln area, and Holly and I went our own way together to check things out because our internships are only a couple blocks from each other which is kind of cool. First though, we tested out the free Georgetown University shuttle to the metro stop, then hopped on to go to Metro Center to purchase our SmarTrip cards (they are like a credit card that you can add value to, but you just have to tap them and go instead of hang onto paper cards and put them through the machines everytime on the metro, and having to have exact chage ready for the metro. Then we headed back to Farragut Square North where our internships are located near. After we found our buildings we headed up the street a few blocks and did some shopping for food at Whole Foods store. We bought some fresh fruit and dinner supplies. We attempted to catch the bus back, but the 225pm bus never showed so we had to wait over a half an hour for the next bus. We were about ready to take a cab home!

And now ends day number 3. Well, almost. It's only 6pm, but I have the feeling we are going to make dinner and just take an easy tonight in preparation for a big day tommorrow. I also have the feeling the ironing board will be getting some good use tonight!

Until next time!
